In town for a tournament, super friendly service from the door opening. We tried the brisket sandwiches, chicken tenders, the smokin’ peach salad with burnt ends and some corn bread. Everything was delicious! Gave us more crispy fries than we could finish - have some for the ride home. We sat on the”the bench” an antique from an old local train station. Blues rock completed the perfect atmosphere. Great place!

My husband and I ordered supper tonight. He had the full brisket sandwich and I had the full pulled pork sandwich The fries were delicious, not greasy, and tasted so so good - fantastic The sandwiches were absolutely amazing. Fresh buns, tender meat and so full of taste We definitely will be back and highly recommend The Pit. Worth every dollar!! The owner is very knowledgeable, friendly and likes to joke Thank you again !!

Came to town from Edmonton to work and stayed at the Ramada hotel and it was just a hop skip and jump from there so gave it a try.Man it was the best decision ever. I got the Montreal meat sandwich and fries. I tell you it was to die for. It was cooked great the meat was just falling apart and the flavor oh yes. Then I went over again tonight and had the poutine I just got a regular and it was pouring out of the top it tasted so good. And the staff are so nice, they really make sure you feel welcomed and are takin care of. And the prices you can't beat. I really don't know how they do it. But I just hope they keep doing it. I wish they had one in Edmonton. Maybe one of these days lol anyhow if your in Olds, Alberta go there, you won't regret it

If you come to Olds you MUST come to The Pit!!! I had the burnt ends and fries and it was to die for. My family comes here a lot and have tried many items and have never been disappointed. I can not wait to come again!! Thank you again!!

The Pit is THE BEST place!!!!! The food and service is AMAZING! Authentic BBQ! The Burnt End sandwich and homemade fries are to die for and the Smokin' Peach salad was unbelievable! Now they serve breakfast... My life is complete! Keep up the wonderful work!

My poutine here was absolutely delicious! Real fried and cheese in a very large portion. Variety of soft drinks that aren’t always found at fast food joints / like The Grizzly Paw Rootbeer I drank. The space was old school and cute, with a home town feel and very little clutter. Soft country music playing in the background. The staff checked on me regularly while I ate and read my book. They even asked if I was content with my purchase! Highly recommend The Pit
